Our Story

Cedric Bakes is a small, independent baking business focused on one thing: really good cookies.

We operate in Santa Clara County under California’s Cottage Food program as a fully permitted Cottage Food Operation (CFO) and are approved to sell and ship anywhere within the state of California.

How we bake

We care about ingredients and technique, but not in a fussy way.  We use fine chocolate, real butter and vanilla, thoughtfully chosen flour, and fresh ingredients like eggs, dairy, and herbs.  Cedric Bakes focuses on texture and balance.  Sweet, but not cloying.  Rich, but not heavy.  Crisp where it should be, soft where it counts.

These recipes have been refined over years of baking for friends, family, and repeat customers.  We don’t chase novelty for its own sake.  We chase cookies people crave and keep thinking about.

We work with a small, carefully chosen menu and bake in small batches, allowing us to pay close attention at every step, from mixing to packaging.

Cedric Bakes focuses on classic cookies made with traditional ingredients. Rather than trying to meet every dietary preference or optimize for nutrition metrics, we put our energy into flavor, texture, and craft.

As a cottage food bakery, we follow specific labeling guidelines and do not provide nutritional information or dietary claims. We keep our attention on the quality of the baking itself and the experience of enjoying it.

Our cookies are best thought of as an occasional indulgence — something to savor, share, or give as a gift — rather than an everyday staple.

Not every cookie is for everyone — and that’s okay.  It allows us to do what we do best.
