Cookie Care

Our cookies are baked fresh and designed to be enjoyed thoughtfully.  The notes below will help you get the best experience, whether you’re enjoying them right away or saving some for later.

Enjoying Your Cookies at Room Temperature

Cookies are best enjoyed over the first few days at room temperature, when their texture, aroma, and flavor are at their peak.

Keep cookies sealed in their packaging until you’re ready to enjoy them.  This helps retain moisture and prevents drying.

Freezing Cookies for Later Enjoyment

Freezing is the best way to preserve freshness if you plan to enjoy your cookies gradually.

Our cookies freeze and thaw exceptionally well, because their fats and sugars help protect texture and flavor.

How to Freeze

  • Freeze cookies while still wrapped.

  • For best results, freeze soon after delivery.

How to Thaw

  • Let cookies return to room temperature before opening the packaging.

  • No reheating is necessary unless you prefer a warm cookie.

Sandwich cookies freeze especially well.  The filling helps protect both layers and keeps the texture cohesive after thawing.

Refrigeration

Refrigeration isn’t recommended, as it tends to dry cookies out over time.

Short exposure to cooler temperatures, such as during travel in an insulated bag or cooler, won’t harm the cookies.  For storage, room temperature or freezing will give better results.

Traveling With Cookies

For short trips, an insulated bag or cooler can help protect cookies from heat.  Once you arrive, allow them to return to room temperature before opening. Freeze any extras if you’re not enjoying them right away.
